The name Itza Brewing comes from our last name. Itza is an ancient Mayan name. There are only a few families left in the world with the last name Itza. It is thought that the word “Itza” comes from the Mayan words “itz” (“magic”) and “h(a)” (“water”). And that the name Itza means “Water Magician.”
