Itza Brewing is a family-owned brewery in Ocean Beach, San Diego, a husband-and-wife team. Itza Brewing name comes from our last name: Garcia Itza Niemi. Itza is an ancient Mayan name. There are only a few families left in the world named Itza. The word “Itza” comes from Mayan words “itz” (“magic”) and “h(a)” (“water”). And that it is thought that “Itza” means “Water Magician.” At Itza Brewing we strive to create magic from water: our craft beer.

At Itza Brewing we make authentic, adventurous, inspired craft beer. We are on a journey to find & create new aromas and flavors to brew craft beer at its best. Our brewing is fueled & inspired by ancient traditions, scientific knowledge, dedication, an adventurous mind and a palate, and hard work. We focus on canning. And creating new unique styles of beer. Our goal is bring to the market beers that are hard to find in cans. This way the beer lovers can enjoy these rare beers in cans at home or anywhere they want.
